Join us at on Saturday for our first and last home game of 2008. Because of our abbreviated schedule this season, the luck of the draw has us on the road for 3 of our 4 games. So we're very excited about this weekend and hope to see all of our loyal fans (and maybe some new ones!) at the game. We hope to improve our 2008 record to 2-1 this weekend, which puts us in good position to end the season with a winning record. We look forward to seeing all of our great fans there!

Time: Kickoff at 3:00pm

 

Due to a short roster created when many of our veterans retired last year, the Santa Rosa Scorchers will play the first four games of our regular schedule and then shift to Sixxes play. The Oakland Banshees, an expansion team returning to regular IWFL play after a couple of years in Sixxes, will be picking up the second half of our schedule. We are very excited about the Sixxes program and the opportunity it gives us to rebuild while still playing competitive football! Full details on the IWFL website.

We'd like to thank our fans for a great 2007 season! The Santa Rosa Scorchers ended the 2007 season on June 30 with a 5 - 3 record, following a disappointing loss to the Sacramento Sirens. During the season the Scorchers broke several franchise records and accomplished many goals. The Scorchers were hoping to make it into the 2007 IWFL playoffs but that dream will have to come in 2008. The Santa Rosa Scorchers have recently partnered with the children of the CalSERVES After School Program to help encourage and motivate them to become better students and stronger athletes. The Scorchers have supported the children, ages 8-11, by speaking to them about perseverance on or off the field, cheering them on during flag football games, and running through an entire Scorcher practice. After these confidence-building activities, we reward the children by giving them free tickets to our games and photos with the Scorchers players. One step at a time, the Scorchers are helping to change the lives of the young children, and we look forward to an ongoing partnership with the CalSERVES After School Program.
